This conference showcased the achievements of many community groups in housing estates that are currently growing food, gave insights into why Housing Assosciation and other organisations should be growing food and pracitcal advice on how to start and sustain projects.

Speakers included
Topics for discussion will include why the food agenda is important for people working in housing, the impacts of food growing projects in the community and the environment and innovative ways to engage residents.
Attendees can participate in one of the following workshops
Getting started and sustaining projects This workshop will look at how to get food-growing projects off the ground including some good practice examples of engaging residents in the process.
Involving People: Building communities This will explore in detail how to engage the local community including young people and schools, in your space and the benefits that arise.
Improving and maintaining open spaces through food-growing Look at the role of food growing in improving overgrown or neglected spaces around housing estates with innovative examples from across the country.
Improving Health and Wellbeing through food growing London basse projects will showcase how their food growing projects have improved health and wellbeing for residents.
