Our new food growing space is a 10 x 10 metre section of the Castle Climbing Centre’s main garden. It has generously been given to us to grow more produce for our Hackney-grown salad bags. The site is currently covered with bramble and sycamore. The Castle site is included in Growing Communities' organic certification, which means that the salad crops grown can be included in the Growing Communities' salad bags which are traded via our box scheme. The box scheme provides seasonal fruit and vegetables for over 460 households in Hackney.
