The London Honey Festival 21 August 2011
The London Honey Festival was a celebration of London Honey, from across the capital as far as Croydon to Bexley, Tottenham to Ruislip, King's Cross to the Royal Festival Hall.
During August London restaurants created dishes with the Capital's honey, supported by 4 shops that sold pots of London's local season harvest. The festival closed on the 21st of August with a celebration of honey at the Royal Festival Hall, featuring honey tasting, films and a chance to meet London Beekeepers.

Restaurants, on-going in August
In a UK first, restaurants across London served up the Capital’s honey this summer. In a link-up with Ethical Eats campaign, Capital Bee conected restaurants with local beekeepers. Restaurants put ‘London Honey Specials’ on their menus in celebration of the London Honey Festival. A staggering half a tonne of urban honey has been made available by 18 apiaries to the Capital’s restaurants.
Participating restaurants include Caffe Caldesi, Dishoom, Eden Caterers, The Three Stags, Roast, Skylon, The Table Café, L'Eau a la Bouche, The Charles Lamb and Drake & Morgan.
London Honey hubs
Londoners were also able to buy a wide selection of local honey from selected shops in the Capital. These include, Budgens in Crouch End, The People's Supermarket, Farm:shop Dalston, La Bouche in Broadway market.
