A new urban farm in London
The London Mayor is backing a new urban farm in Greenwich. Let's help Sitopia Farm reach their target and make their dream into a reality.
Great news for Sitopia Farm and for London this week as the London Mayor has pledged £37,500 towards the crowdfunder to set up a new urban farm at Woodlands Farm in Greenwich.
Chloe Dunnett, founder of the project, plans to convert the two acres of land loaned to her by the Woodlands Farm Trust into a thriving, biodiverse urban farm producing fresh veg and flowers for local people, as well as providing a hub for the local community.
They need more help to reach their target so find out more about this amazing project and how to donate via their crowdfunder.
We're delighted to see that decision makers not only recognise the benefits and opportunities of growing food in urban and peri-urban spaces but are doing something about it. This is great news for Sitopia Farm and the community in Greenwich but also for London more widely and the future of peri-urban farming.
