Incredible Edible joins Sustain alliance
New member will strengthen alliance’s commitment to supporting community growing.
Sustain’s council of trustee’s have approved Incredible Edible as latest member to join the alliance. Both organisations recognise local engagement and strong community ties are essential to developing sustainable local food networks.
Ben Reynolds, Sustain Deputy CEO, says:
"We're thrilled to welcome Incredible Edible to the alliance, as this builds on years of our work together to support communities to rethink their relationship with food through community growing. Incredible Edible are real trailblazers and have inspired so many communities to view their towns, villages and boroughs in a different light and look at every space as being a potential growing space."
Pam Warhurst, Incredible Edible founder, says:
"Incredible Edible's vision is to create kind, confident connected communities through the medium of local food. We’re excited to work with the Sustain alliance of like-minded people to build a fairer society where access to good food is everyone’s right. Our campaign for a Community right to grow on public land is strengthened through this alliance. We look forward to realising the positive changes needed for the health and well-being of people through this closer working relationship."
