We are holding our sixth SEWN event, coming to East London to gather food growers for a day of networking, sharing and learning.
This event is aimed at food growers and council officers working across Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Barking & Dagenham and Greenwich.
We'll be bringing together grassroots growers, networks and councils to build relationships and strengthen connections. This is a chance to geek out about plants, explore common challenges and opportunties for community gardens and work out the practical next steps to get there. Topics that we'll be exploring include:
- Right to Grow
- Fundraising and sustainaing your food growing project/group
- How to provide inclusive garden spaces for all abilities and neurodiversities
- Community engagement
The SEWN Together series takes place across South, East, West and North London (hence the acronym!). The aim to platform the great work happening in food gardens tackling the nature and climate emergency, creating inclusive spaces and helping to build more resilient communities.
