Garden Organic is looking for a new Chair to lead their Board of Trustees. The new Chair will build on the chairty's successes, having the responsibility to deliver Garden Organic’s strategy and provide leadership to the wider board.

You will be an influential, supportive leader who builds confidence and consensus. It is expected that the new Chair of Trustees will have appropriate experience as a Senior Trustee or Chair of a charity organisation, with a full understanding of charity governance, responsibilities and accountability.

With a dynamic range of partners, high-profile supporters and a vibrant membership base, Garden Organic’s team is bringing its evidence-backed expertise to individuals, communities and organisations, to demonstrate the transformative power of organic practice in repaying our debt to nature.

As Garden Organic says, the ideal candidate will be:

  • Passionate about the work of Garden Organic and the organisations, communities and sectors we align and work with.
  • A natural leader with the ability to harness the strengths of the board of trustees and the CEO to deliver the charity’s strategy for impact.
  • Able to communicate objectives, inspire action and provide clear direction and guidance.
  • Proven in their expertise in core areas of Charity management, with a positive and proactive approach to supporting future growth.
