From Seed to Celebration: Grow Urban 2025 Festival launches
This June London will be buzzing with activity with over 50 ways to connect with nature, learn practical skills and envision thriving cities of the future.
Running from 7–15 June 2025 during Great Big Green Week, the Grow Urban Festival will be threading together celebrations of community resilience, urban ecology and food system innovation across London.
Now in its fifth year, the festival features over 50 events, including hands-on workshops, cooking sessions and nature walks to expert panels, storytelling sessions, and site visits – there is something for everyone, from experienced growers to hone their horticultural know-how, to the eco-curious wanting to explore the fascinating world of plants.
"Urban food growing and greening initiatives have never been more vital or popular than they are today.” says Rachel Dring, Capital Growth Coordinator. “As people increasingly recognize the importance of food security, environmental sustainability, and community wellbeing, London stands at the forefront of this movement with an extraordinary network of community gardens, rooftop farms, and innovative food growing projects across all boroughs. Our city is cultivating not just fresh produce, but stronger communities and a more resilient urban future."
Discover a variety of events led by inspiring changemakers - from grassroots growers and artists to educators, architects, herbalists, and youth advocates - reflecting the diverse ecosystem shaping the future of urban life.
