Win £1000 Join Capital Growth Now!
Food-growing projects joining the network before 18th June 2012 will have the chance to win £1000 – just for joining! Once you have registered your food growing space you will be eligible for all our benefits.
All eligible spaces will be entered into a draw to win one of the following:
- £1000 in vouchers*
- £500 in vouchers*
- £250 in vouchers*
- Onsite training sessions
*This will be received in vouchers from a high street garden and DIY store.
Please note if your food-growing space can only happen if you win the prize you must make this clear in your application.
Why join Capital Growth?
If you are interested in starting a community food-growing project in London and have access to a space,you can join the Capital Growth network to receive lots of in-kind support. Joining is free and provides benefits such as discounted training and materials, advice and help finding volunteers. See here for further information about our support
Can I join?
You are welcome to join either if you are starting a new food-growing project or if you run an existing growing space that started after January 2009. If your project started before this date you are only eligible to apply if you are expanding the size of growing space.
Your project should be open to at least five people, be at least five square metres in size and you must have permission from the landowner. Further information is provided in the application form.
Your project must be in one of the 33 Greater London boroughs.

How do I apply?
Stage 1- get an access code
Click on the link below entitled 'Apply for Capital Growth funding'. Enter your email address and, as a result you will be sent an access code so you can log in and complete the registration form.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to access our registration form you must agree to terms and conditions and confirm you have permission from the landowner to use the land for food growing.
Stage 2 - complete your application to become a space
Once you have returned to the login page and entered your access code you will be able to view the online registration form. You will need to include a brief description of your project and the approximate size. Once this form has been completed you must click on the 'SUBMIT' button.
Please note: This is the form to register for Capital Growth support and NOT a funding application. You have the option to save the form and return to complete it at a later date, using the email address and access code entered into the login page.
