The Castle Climbing Centre Apple Pressing Day

The Castle Climbing Centre, Green Lanes, London N4 2HA

A free community event open to the public in The Castle Climbing Centre garden. 12-4pm. We'll have our large press out for action, for pressing apples and pears gleaned from our own orchard and from local private trees. Join in with chopping, scratting and pressing -- and we'll also have fresh cups of juice for sale with all donations going to the National Food Service London. All welcome (garden is accessible), but visitors will need to sign in at reception.

Becoming a buddy is an opportunity to gain skills and hands-on experience in support work and social and therapeutic gardening. The Buddy training is a free two day training combined with some online learning. Please apply by the 21st October. Our ecotherapy program supports people with mental health recovery needs such as depression, anxiety and isolation. Buddies help to create a friendly and welcoming environment, enabling everyone to participate fully.
